Factors to consider for a successful IVF
-
The endometrium must be prepared before the transfer, the preparation can last from 3 to 6 months. The thickness of the endometrium should not be less than 8 mm. At TAT Surrogacy, a 54 year old French woman succeeded in getting pregnant after 6 months of remote preparation of her endometrium.
- Having viable embryos. In Ukraine, it is ethical to perform pre-implantation diagnosis (PGD). Our clients always opt for the most advanced test, NGS 24 chromosomes, to be able to detect genetic abnormalities. Additional tests are also performed to identify pathologies already present in the future parents (e.g. X-fragile or translocation). This allows only viable embryos to be transferred! This greatly increases the chances of getting pregnant and having a healthy child. Some abnormalities such as X-fragile syndrome worsen from one generation to the next, and the mother with this mutation may be healthy while her child may have an overall developmental delay.
- Young donors, 22 to 30 years old maximum. This also increases your chances of getting pregnant, as the quality of the embryos depends 80% on the quality of the oocytes.
- The technique of embryo creation. In Ukraine, we perform not only ICSI but also PICSI, IMSI, or TESA (testicular puncture to collect the youngest and most anomaly-free spermatozoa).
- Personalized stimulation protocols. Everything counts during stimulation: age, AMH, LH, FSH, and estradiol levels. The protocol is prescribed after each ultrasound scan to ensure that the follicles grow correctly. If it is necessary to wait for the growth of the smaller follicles, we add a drug to align the growth. The large quantity of fertilized oocytes allow us to have more choice in PGD, as it is possible that with 10 punctured oocytes we can obtain 1 or 2 healthy embryos that will hang on because they are of good quality and without abnormalities.
